Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Who can use the Redland Hospital Library?
A: Queensland Health Staff, Students on placement, and other guests by arrangement with the Librarian. Access into the Library requires a Queensland Health swipe card.

Q: Can I borrow books and resources?
A: Yes - First you must Register as a Library User. Queensland Health Staff may borrow up to 5 books, for 21 days.

Q: What facilities are available?
A: The Library is equipped with Internet enabled computers, Wi-Fi, print/copy/scan facilities, study carrels and a wide range of electronic and physical book resources. Access is 24/7 for Staff via Swipe Access, and Librarian assistance is available Monday-Friday 09:00 - 16:00.

Q: Do you have WiFi?
A: Yes - complimentary WiFi is available within the Library, and the password is displayed on signage within the facility.

Q: Can you help me find information?
A: Yes - the Librarian can assist with general enquiries, personalised training, literature searches and document requests.

Q: You don't have what I'm looking for. Can you purchase it?
A: Yes - in many cases the Library can acquire or purchase resources upon request. Ask your Librarian!
