2010 -

2011:

- population now exceeds 138,000 in Redlands

2011/2012:

-2,197 babies born at hospital


2012:

-Expansion of emergency department and paediatric service


2013:

-Coffee cart opens at entrance of hospital

-15th March Redlands Hospitals Women and Birthing Unit celebrates 14th Birthday

-23rd April New Palliative Care service opens

-4th November Dunwich celebrates 50 years medicine at Marie Rose Centre, North Stradbroke Island


2014:

-Podiatry Team implements High Risk Foot Service Network

-Medical Imaging Department recieve $250,000 equipment upgrade

-Positive Care Project gets underway

-17th, October Redland Hospital welcomes 1st baby under the new private practice eligible midwife model


2015:

-Humpty Dumpty Foundation donates PANDA Neonatal Resucitaire Machine

-19th November 30,000 birth since opening in 1999

-Nurse to patient ratio legislation introduced

2015/2016: Highlights 1,848 births, 843 full time equivalent staff, 30,511 admissions to hospital, 57,340 emergency  presentations


2016

-Over 152,000 people live in Redlands

-22nd April New breast care service launched

-'Be Heard Campaign' launched

-1st full allocation of interns welcomed

-Healthy hearing program is the first newborn screening program in the country to introduce hand held Accuscreen device

-Improved food menu with more choice and same day ordering

-August, nutrition assistants start using electronic menus - CBORD


2017:

-Redland Hospital and Wynnum Health Service successfully achieve Pathway to Excellence for nursing excellence

-Dr Jenny Stedman (Director of Anaesthetics) awarded a prestigious Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists Council Citation in recognition of her work for the college and her humanitarian contribution across the world.

-Hospital Auxillary celebrates 30 years of service

-Further developments in general surgical services

-Redland Renal Dialysis Unit reaches 10 year service milestone 

-Redland Hospital endorses Statement of Commitment to Reconcilion
